Sand mill, also known as bead mill, is mainly used for wet grinding of chemical liquid products, according to the performance can be divided into horizontal sand mill, basket sand mill, vertical sand mill and so on. It is mainly composed of the body, the grinding cylinder, the sand grinding disc (the lever), the grinding medium, the motor and the feed pump, and the feed speed is controlled by the feed pump.
It has the advantages of high grinding efficiency, strong work continuity, less pollution, reliable control, and low cost, compact structure, generous shape, easy to use and maintain, and has strong practicability.
1.Loading of the mill. Initiating the process, the liquid-particle mixture is introduced into the milling chamber, accompanied by the grinding media.
2.Operation and rotation. A rotating shaft with agitating discs stirs the beads, creating a tumultuous environment within.
3.Particle size reduction mechanism. The real magic happens due to the force generated by these rapid grinding media movements. Their constant collisions - bead on bead and bead on particles - result in particle breakdown.
4.Extraction process. Upon achieving the desired particle size, the mixture is drained, while the grinding media remain inside, ready for the next cycle.
Dry Bead Mills
Dry bead mills employ a system to produce fine particles in air or inert gas atmosphere. With beads of relatively large diameter inside, large and coarse particles can be ground easily.
There are two types of dry bead mill operations: continuous or batch operations.
Wet Bead Mills
Wet bead mills employ a system to produce fine particles in liquid. As the minute beads inside are agitated at high speed, the machines are capable of producing particles down to the size.
There are three types of wet bead mill operations: circulation, pass, and batch operations.
Dry processing is optimal for micro-size particles and wet processing is suitable for nano-size particles.
As beads with a relatively large diameter are employed in dry bead mills, large and coarse particles can be readily ground by vigorous agitation. As wet bead mills employ minute beads, finer particles can be produced with strong shear and friction force caused by agitating beads at high speed.

Bead mill is widely used in coating, dye, paint, ink, medicine, magnetic powder, ferrite, photographic film, pesticide, paper making and cosmetics and other industries of high efficiency universal wet micro-grinding dispersion machinery.
Transport
Both sea and land transportation are available, and cargo information is provided at any time, and we will remind you before the ship arrives. We will specially make iron frames for containers, and different sizes of iron frame machines can be configured according to the type of container.
The packaging will be sandblasted and sprayed with high-quality paint, pp bubble product packaging. Loading container, in order to reduce the transportation cost as much as possible, we will pack the machine with moisture-proof film and put it in impact-resistant wooden box in advance.
All machines are packed by wooden case which can protect machines very well.
You do not worry about any damages during the transportation.

1. What is a bead(sand)mill machine?
A sand mill is a machine designed for the ultra-fine grinding of solids in liquids, using small grinding media made of materials like glass, ceramics, or steel to achieve particle size reduction.
2. How does it work?
Equipment operates on the principle of kinetic energy and collision. The beads within the mill move rapidly, colliding with each other and the particles in the mixture, leading to a reduction in particle size.
3. What's the difference between a horizontal and a vertical sand mill?
A horizontal machine has a horizontally oriented milling chamber, while a vertical bead mill's chamber is vertically aligned. The movement of beads differs in both setups, with horizontal mills having side-to-side movements and vertical mills having up-and-down bead movements.
4. Why are bead machines used in industries?
Equipment is favored for their efficiency in achieving fine particle sizes, versatility in handling different materials, and producing consistent results. They find applications in industries like pharmaceuticals, paints, cosmetics, and nanotechnology.
5. Are there any alternative machines or methods to bead mills?
While sand grinders are preferred for ultra-fine grinding, there are other methods and machines like blade-based grinders or high-pressure homogenizers. However, for certain applications, especially where nano-sized particles are required, bead mills are often the go-to choice.
6. What are the grinding media made of?
The grinding media can be made of various materials, including glass, ceramics, and steel. The choice of bead material can depend on the type of substance being milled and the desired outcome.
